A report claims that Celtic loanee Daniel Arzani is set to step up his recovery from a serious knee injury.

The Daily Record has revealed that the player has returned to his parent club Manchester City, and will return to Celtic in the summer for pre-season training.

Arzani signed a two-year loan deal at Celtic Park in the summer. But he only played one game before being stretchered off against Dundee with cruciate ligament damage.

Kickstart career

Now the player will be hoping to kickstart his Hoops career next season. It would be best for all concerned not to expect much from the player at the start of his return though.

It takes time to get back to your best after suffering a long injury. Therefore, there is no need for anyone at the club to expect Arzani to hit the ground running. Although it would be a nice bonus for the Hoops if he did.

Has to impress new boss

Arzani also has to deal with the fact that the man who signed him for the club, Brendan Rodgers, isn’t at the club any more.

It will be interesting to see if Neil Lennon or the next manager integrates the player into the Hoops side. Celtic have a lot of attacking players, so it won’t be easy to make the breakthrough. However, if he impresses enough Arzani can make it, Ryan Christie did.
