Celtic icon Henrik Larsson could be making a sensational return to the club, according to a report.
The Scottish Sun has disclosed that Larsson is reportedly on the short-list to become part of Neil Lennon’s coaching staff.
The report also reveals that former Celtic assistant coach Johan Mjallby is one of the names on the list.
Move will excite support

Fans will be extremely excited about the possibility of one of Celtic’s greatest ever players returning to the club.
Larsson is one of the best ever goalscorers in Hoops history, with 242 goals scored over seven incredibly successful years.
He hasn’t had the best time in club management though. He resigned as manager of Helsingborg in 2016 after he was unable to prevent their relegation, and after a confrontation with supporters.

Perhaps he would be more suited to a coaching role. He would make an ideal strikers coach, he knows how to find the back of the net more than most players.
Know each other well

Lennon and Larsson know each other very well from both playing in Martin O’Neill’s successful Celtic sides. They were both part of the Hoops side which reached the UEFA Cup Final in 2003.
Lennon must feel that Larsson has something to add to the current Celtic set-up, or he wouldn’t be on the list. It will be very interesting to see if Larsson decides to make an emotional return to Celtic Park after 15 years away.
One thing is for certain – the fans would love it.
