The representatives of Celtic defender Josip Juranovic have made it clear that the full-back is happy at Parkhead amidst recent exit rumours, according to the Daily Record.

In recent weeks, speculation surrounding the 26-year-old’s future at Celtic has ramped up, suggesting that he could be heading for the exit door this window.

After showing his quality within Ange Postecoglou’s side during last seasons league and cup success, many fans were left fearing what these links would mean for the right-back’s future at the club.

When huge sides in European Football, such as Atletico Madrid, come calling, there aren’t many times when a player would be turning them down.

However, according to the latest reports from the Daily Record, Juranovic’s representatives have indicated where the Croatian internationalist’s head is at amongst all the speculation. Journalist Scott Burns reports that despite the recent interest, the full-back is happy at Celtic and still has a long-term contract at Parkhead.

This positive update comes after it was revealed that Celtic also aren’t interested in seeing Juranovic go anywhere this window, provided that a huge-money offer doesn’t arrive for the former Legia Warsaw man [Sky Sports].

Of course, it is not nice to see our best players linked with moves away. But, the latest reports have given the Hoops support some optimism about Juranovic’s future at the club.

As the club prepares to embark upon the beginning of Ange Postecoglou’s second season in charge, there is much to be excited about for everyone involved at Celtic Park.

That includes Juranovic and the rest of the squad, who will be eagerly anticipating their return after a strong end to the season for club and country.

The Bhoys also have Champions League group stage football to come, providing Postecoglou’s side with another fresh but thrilling challenge.

Juranovic’s last appearance in the Green and White came in the 2-1 Scottish Cup semi-final defeat to Rangers at Hampden.

So, you would imagine that the right-back is keen to enjoy a second season wearing the club’s colours and challenging himself on the European stage.

Hopefully, we can see Juranovic remain past the summer window. There appear to be positive signs at the moment, suggesting that might be the case.
