A report has disclosed the contract that Celtic target David Turnbull has decided to turn down from the club.

The Daily Record has revealed that the money Turnbull would have been on was more than recent Champions League finalists Virgil Van Dijk and Victor Wanyama were on when they first joined Celtic.

The report also claims that the player would be on 10 times the money he is currently on at Fir Park.

However, at the moment it looks like the player won’t be heading to Glasgow. This is despite the Hoops agreeing a £3 million fee with Motherwell.

Looking to England for next move

As revealed by the Daily Record the player turned down the contract, and he and his agents are looking to England for his next move.

The chances of the move being resurrected were probably confirmed to be all but over when Celtic Tweeted about the deal falling through.

There is no doubt that the Celtic support won’t be too happy about the deal falling through. However, it could turn out that the club are blameless for the move not happening.

If it is true that Celtic offered Turnbull the deal reported, then the club can’t be blamed for the deal not happening.

There could be a chance that the player still signs for the Hoops. But perhaps at the moment it is best to move on to other targets.
