A revealing new statistic has shown how important Scott Sinclair has been to Celtic during the clinching of the ‘treble treble’.
According to the official Celtic Twitter account, Sinclair is the Hoops’ top scorer domestically over the three campaigns, with 52 goals in total.
That is an average of 17 goals per season. That is a great return for a player who isn’t a striker. Ironically enough, the confirmation of Sinclair’s worth to the side has come at a time when he has lost his place in the first-team.
Still an important player

However, as the statistics show, he is still a very important part of the squad.
Hopefully it will spur the player on to get back to his best next season.
Even though Sinclair was not a starter towards the end of the season, you would imagine that he will be a big player for the Hoops in the upcoming Champions League qualifiers.
Experience will be vital for qualifiers

He has the experience of playing in these colossal games. He has often scored some vitally important goals in the fixtures as well.
Celtic recently triggered another year in Sinclair’s contract at the club, and you can understand why when you consider how important he has been to the ‘treble treble’.
Hopefully he can return to the first-team next season, and perhaps help the Hoops towards a ‘quadruple treble’.
