Every Celtic supporter will be gutted with how this season’s gone.
Neil Lennon is still the boss, the title is beyond us, and Europe was a disaster. We had a chance to make history, and the club blew it. That hurts, there’s no getting around it.
In an act of kindness, Rangers supporters have been posting highlights of the 9IAR run. Specifically, important wins at their Ibrox home, in an effort to extend an olive branch across the Clyde. We’re here to say: thanks!
One account posted:
“They go 2-0 up in the last minutes. Game clearly done They can’t just take the win Lennon RUNS past everyone to get Griffiths and celebrate outside his dugout, right infront [sic] of our fans Remember that”.
Another suggested we reminisce over one of Leigh Griffiths’ excellent finishes away to our rivals. It was a touching display of respect.

Unclear why it’s happening, but Celtic supporters are grateful
I could never claim to speak for the Celtic support, but it’s been nice to watch some of these highlights back. Given the situation we find ourselves in currently, it’s good to indulge in a bit of nostalgia. For 9 years, we were the inarguable dominant force in Scottish football.
Ultimately, Steven Gerrard has built a title-winning side, while the Bhoys’ decision making has cost us the chance to seal the 10. In that time, though, Celtic have won four domestic trebles, competed in the Champions League, and enjoyed an unbeaten season.
So, let’s look back on this era with fondness. For a long time, we were unchallenged at the summit of the national sport, while remaining profitable.
We’ve seen incredible players make a huge impact. Names including Scott Sinclair, Odsonne Edouard, Moussa Dembélé, Fraser Forster, Victor Wanyama and Virgil van Dijk have graced the green and white over the last 9 excellent years.
Sure, it’s sad that it’s over. But with this latest move, it’s clear we’ve left an impression on our rivals, who will deservedly celebrate the title in May.
We’ve had good times. Clearly, for everyone, it’s important to step back and recognise the achievements Celtic have made.
