Rivals won't be happy with Michael Stewart and Chris Sutton's latest Celtic prediction

A class exchange between Chris Sutton and Michael Stewart on Premier Sports last night led to both tipping Celtic to beat Rangers next month.

The pair are set to clash twice in April in what’s bound to be a tasty month for the Hoops. It comes after last night’s Scottish Cup draw pulled them both out of the hat for a Hampden tussle.

Sutton was quick to try and goad Stewart into a swift prediction before refusing to give one himself. However, in the end, both tipped Celtic to just get by the Ibrox club if all players are fit and available. You can watch the exchange for yourself below:

Victory over the Ibrox club in the semi-final will take the Hoops a step closer to their dream of a historic domestic treble this term.

The Hoops still have a trip to Govan to come 2 weeks before they face each other in the cup. There is plenty of football for supporters to get their teeth stuck into.

And it appears that we have the backing of certain pundits to go and show that February’s 3-0 win over Rangers was anything but a one-off.

Celtic will get plenty of backers before Glasgow derby

Celtic will certainly get plenty of backing in the build-up to the derby. It’ll be interesting to see who is the actual favourite is heading into the contest.

As of right now, you have to say that it’s Ange Postecoglou’s high-flyers who will be the team many expect to progress to the final.

Even if Rangers are impressing in Europe, they’ve been all over the place domestically. None more so than when they were mauled 3-0 at Parkhead back in February. Rangers are all over the place at the back, and that’s something you would highly expect Celtic to profit from.

Even in the 1-0 loss at Ibrox back at the start of the season, Celtic were still well in the game for long periods of time. We were the team taking the game to Rangers and created several big opportunities that could’ve seen us leave Govan with a point.

Time will tell whether our rivals truly do have an issue playing against Ange’s team. These next 2 fixtures at Ibrox and Hampden will give us a good indication of just how we match up to them.

But it’s no surprise to see some neutrals jumping on the Celtic bandwagon for this one. We look like we’re on a mission at the moment.

In other news, Celtic handed glorious 2-week opportunity to end rivals’ domestic season
