It’s the perfect start for Celtic and Brendan Rodgers to the new season.

Starting from pre-season when the Bhoys beat Manchester City and Chelsea to their opening Champions League campaign with a win, everything is going right and the fans are loving every minute of it.

On Saturday evening, Celtic dismantled St Johnstone by putting six goals past the managerless side, with five different players getting on the scoresheet.

Nevermind Celtic scoring for fun, they are yet to concede a goal this term in the Scottish Premiership and are already showcasing their dominance at the top.

Aberdeen are keeping up to pace with the Scottish champions after six matches, with the duo eight points clear of third-placed Rangers ahead of their home clash against Hibernian on Sunday.

For years and years now, Celtic have dominated the domestic circuit, with their only off-season coming when the season was played behind closed doors.

That’s why you can’t blame neutrals for expecting nothing more than continued dominance by those from Parkhead.

Robbie Savage certainly thinks that and the former Premier League midfielder made it clear, after listening to the team cruise past St Johnstone and hit them for six, that they will ‘100%’ win the title again this season.

Chris Sutton was listening on and he labelled his colleague’s comments as ‘interesting’, but disagreed with his full-blown statement.

The former striker couldn’t bring it to himself to state that they will win it ‘100%’, so instead, he put forward the number of ‘94%’ when asked, as he told 606 on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.

Celtic will 100% win the Scottish Premiership title

“I wonder what percentage Celtic have got of winning the Scottish Premiership,” asked Savage. “Wow,” responded Savage after listening to the team being 6-0 up.

Sutton responded: “This season? Well, you can never be sure.” Savage then interrupted: “Oh, come on. I would tell you 100%. I give it you.” Sutton then reminded the former midfielder: “Aberdeen are going well.”

Savage then repeated again: “100%,” to which Sutton responded: “You are going for 100%? That’s interesting. I would go for 94%.”

Celtic in the Champions League

The beauty of how well Celtic have started the season is that they can put more focus on Champions League matters.

Celtic eased to an opening-day win over Slovan Bratislava, but now face their toughest test against Borussia Dortmund in Germany.

In terms of form, confidence and sharpness within the squad, you can provide many plus points, with only one negative.

Cameron Carter-Vickers’s injury concern ahead of the Dortmund game is a worry and fans are hoping he is back for the most important match.
