Celtic have been the dominant force in Scotland since 2000.
Before that, Rangers had a decade of dominance in the 90s and some success in the early 2000s but every Celtic fan knows the real reason behind that.
Over the last 13 years, Celtic have won all but one Scottish Premiership title, as Rangers picked up one Scottish Cup and one League Cup along the way.
So when former Rangers defender Robin Propper made this parting shot after his Ibrox exit, the Celtic supporters will laugh up their sleeves.

Robin Propper’s laughable Rangers ‘used to be the strongest’ team over Celtic claim
Propper is 31 years old. During his lifetime Celtic have won 20 league titles. Twenty. And that’s before we talk domestic cups.
So when Propper said in the Daily Record, “You need calm at a club to make such a change successful. And that wasn’t the case at Rangers.
“Rangers used to be the strongest for a long time, now Celtic is. That’s difficult for supporters to understand, and of course the media can play on that.”
Celtic fans will be left flummoxed by this and, if truth be told, even the Rangers support won’t buy this nonsense.
Celtic’s domestic cup record vs Rangers since 1994
Propper was born in 1994, so let’s take a look at Celtic’s cup record compared to both Rangers’ over that time:
- Celtic’s Scottish Cup record: 13
- Celtic’s League Cup record: 13
- Rangers’ Scottish Cup record: 8
- Rangers’ League Cup record: 10
It seems that Propper has gotten a little bit carried away with himself here.
