Former Celtic manager Ronny Deila could be set for a return to European Football with Belgian side Standard Liege.
The 46-year old was and remains a popular figure at Parkhead amongst the Celtic supporters, having led the Hoops to three trophies during his two years in charge.
Since his departure from Glasgow, Deila has enjoyed spells with Valerenga in his homeland Norway, and New York City FC, where he delivered the MLS Cup last year.

After spending just over two years in America, Deila could make a return to Europe and is set to make his final decision this week.
According to a report from the Daily Record, Belgian side Standard Liege, who have been taken over by new American owners, have offered the Norweigan boss the job and now await his decision.
The recommendation for Deila to join Standard Liege was made by their current director of football, Fergal Harkin, who is another familiar name to the Celtic support.
Harkin was linked to the same role at Celtic Park last summer and previously played a part in Deila’s move to the Hoops when he held the position of loans and pathway manager at Manchester City.
Another chance for Deila to impress in Europe.
Although Deila is still seen as a popular figure by the majority of the Celtic support, there were some disappointments during his time here.
Admittedly, some were outwith his control, but there were undoubtedly some negative points from his time in Glasgow.
However, Deila has clearly gone away and learned from that, which he has shown by delivering a first-ever title for NYFC.

If he chooses to accept this offer from Standard Liege, it will provide him with another big chance to impress on this continent.
Having dropped from a 6th placed finish to 14th last season, Deila will be in charge of a potential rebuild at Liege alongside Fergal Harkin.
So, this might come into the former Celtic boss’ consideration when deciding what is best for his next role as a manager.
