The father of Ryan Christie has come out against former Celtic manager Ronny Deila.
Former Celtic man Charlie Christie said his son was “increasingly frustrated” with the Norwegian. The current Celt hardly got a game under the gaffer that brought him in from Inverness in 2015.
This is leaving a bitter taste in the mouth of Christie senior even after Deila was left eating humble pie.

Christie’s rise to Celtic stardom isn’t coming as a shock for former Celt, Charlie.
Joining in 2015 under Deila, Christie only managed six appearances.
Christie went on loan to Inverness and Aberdeen twice subsequently and came back raring to go under Brendan Rodgers. His Dad doesn’t forget where the Norwegian left his son in the footballing wilderness.
He told BBC Scotland: “He’s a good example of giving it your utmost when you’re not in the team.
“He played and scored in a 7-0 win on the final day of the season against Motherwell.
“Ronny Deila said afterwards he maybe should have played him more often that season. That just increased the frustration for Ryan.”
Christie is currently Celtic’s top scorer after bagging two goals and an assist at the weekend.
His dad believes one of his son’s teammates is en route to follow in his foot steps – Lewis Morgan.

Morgan is breaking more into the team in recent weeks due to injuries to Mohamed Elyounoussi and Odsonne Edouard. The Scotland international even bagged himself a goal in the Europa League against Rennes.
In reference to the quotes on Christie junior, Charlie said: “Lewis Morgan is an example of that now.”
If Elyounoussi and Edouard are still out, then opportunities will continue to come for Morgan. This will only boost his profile if he continues to impress the fans and backroom staff alike. Morgan too has had his loan away from the Hoops so now it is his time to shine like Christie.
