Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers will be desperate to strengthen his squad in the summer following an inconsistent first campaign back at Parkhead.
The Bhoys have dropped points on eight occasions inside their 29 Scottish Premiership fixtures, which isn’t indicative of a side that are performing at the peak of their powers.
In the lead-up to the January transfer window, Rodgers called for ‘quality’ to be added to the ranks at Parkhead to help the Bhoys progress under his stewardship.
Nevertheless, only Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah pitched up in Glasgow’s east end in a quiet month of market activity, leading many supporters to feel disappointed that more players didn’t arrive.
Come the summer, Celtic will be on the lookout for a new goalkeeper amid news that Joe Hart is going to hang up his gloves.
Beyond that, there is a collective acknowledgement among fans that a squad reshuffle may be necessary heading into 2024/25.
However, it remains to be seen who could be charged with carrying out this operation due to Mark Lawwell and Joe Dudgeon’s impending departures.
Celtic rumoured target Callum O’Hare has options to pick from
According to reports, Celtic are believed to be monitoring Coventry City midfielder Callum O’Hare, who is available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Last Friday, scouts from three unnamed La Liga clubs were present to watch the 25-year-old in action against West Bromwich Albion, where on-loan Bhoy Mikey Johnston scored in a 2-1 victory for the hosts.

Rangers are also believed to be interested in O’Hare, whose future has been subject to further speculation courtesy of his manager Mark Robins, who believes he could hold out for a move elsewhere.
Robins stated cited via the Coventry Telegraph: “Callum wants to keep his options open, and I think everyone will have gleaned that by now, and that’s his prerogative.
“We have offered him a contract, and a good contract at that, and he wants to keep his options open to see if there are Premier League clubs wanting to take him; whether we get into the Premier League and then we become an option, or become an option anyway.
“I think all options are on the table and he just wants to keep them open, and that’s his prerogative.”
Callum O’Hare would be a solid addition for Celtic
This term, O’Hare has netted nine goals and laid on four assists in 23 appearances across all competitions for Coventry, demonstrating his positive influence in the final third, per Transfermarkt.
His potential availability on a free transfer is likely to pique the Hoops’ interest; however, they are not alone in their admiration, given that Fulham, Everton and Southampton are also keen to pounce [The Sun].
Rodgers and company will need to put together a convincing argument to try and entice O’Hare north of the border, though we’ll gain more of an indication of where his future could lie in the coming weeks.
