Celtic boss Neil Lennon has revealed that Ryan Christie’s all round performances are making his team-mates up their game.
Christie’s goal in the 1-1 draw with Rennes was his ninth of the season. The Hoops boss feels that his attitude is rubbing off on the other players in the Celtic side.
“He’s been fantastic this season” Lennon said in a video on Celtic’s YouTube channel.
“Energy and fitness levels are superb”
“He’s been superb for me in all the games so far. His energy and fitness levels are fantastic and it’s infectious for the rest of the players.”
That is certainly high praise from the Celtic boss. He has not held back in his admiration for the player. The fact that he claims that Christie’s ‘energy and fitness levels’ are influencing the other members of the Hoops squad highlights his importance to the team.
A huge year for the player
From not being in the Celtic side this time last year, to perhaps now being the most important player in the team, it has been a huge year for the player.
Credit for that has to be given to Christie, former Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers and Lennon. Christie has maintained his high level of performance since breaking into the team. Both Rodgers and Lennon recognised his talent.
Christie looks set to be a mainstay for the Hoops for many years to come. His attitude seems to be second to none, and it is good to see that same attitude becoming prevalent amongst his team-mates.
