Steve Clarke has named his Scotland team for tonight’s massive Euro 2020 clash against England, which includes two Celtic players, per

The full match squad is as follows:

Starting XI – Marshall, Hanley, McTominay, Tierney, O’Donnell, Robertson, Gilmour, McGregor, McGinn, Adams, Dykes.

Substitutes – Gordon, McLaughlin, Christie, Fleck, Cooper, Armstrong, Nisbet, Fraser, Patterson, Hendry, Forrest, McKenna.

Scotland’s biggest game in 23 years, and arguably beyond, takes place at Wembley this evening. The national side badly needs a point, at least, to have any realistic hope of qualifying from Group D.

Monday’s defeat to the Czech Republic has ensured the pressure is on. Tonight’s test against England will be incredibly difficult. The 2018 World Cup semi-finalists are massive favourites heading into the Wembley kick-off and have the firepower to punish Scotland.

However, this match will definitely have a derby feel to it. Scotland supporters will be hoping the stars in tonight’s line-up can rise to the occasion. Passion, fight and probably a bit of luck will be needed to secure a result.

Clarke has named a more exciting line-up than the one we witnessed on Monday with Billy Gilmour, Callum McGregor, Kieran Tierney and Che Adams coming into the team.

Fan reaction to Scotland team v England

The reaction has been primarily positive to the team news. The decision to bring in Adams has certainly gone down well. Many are expecting a star turn from youngster Gilmour as well.

From a Celtic perspective, it’s fantastic to see McGregor get his chance. However, I can’t help but feel James Forrest should have a bigger role for his country. Hopefully, we see him off the bench at some point.
