Scotrail have announced that full train services will resume from next week, providing a boost to travelling Celtic fans ahead of the new competitive season getting underway.
Since May 23rd, rail services across the country have been reduced to an emergency timetable during a dispute with staff regarding pay and working conditions.

With the new Scottish Premiership season underway later this month, many fans may have feared that their travel plans to Celtic Park could have been affected.
Stations close to the ground, such as Dalmarnock and Argyle Street, had all been impacted across the summer, with several big events in Glasgow also feeling the brunt of the travel disruptions.
The issues had also extended well beyond the Glasgow area, potentially causing issues for supporters across the country.
However, this afternoon Scotrail announced that the issue had been resolved and the normal timetable, which includes around an extra 700 train services per day, would be returning from Wednesday, July 20th.
It’s undoubtedly a big change for the Celtic supporters who rely on public transport ahead of the return of Scottish Premiership action on July 31st.
For example, before the regular timetable returns next week, this Sunday 17th July, there will only be two train services available each hour from Glasgow Central to Dalmarnock.
However, in comparison, the following week will see double the amount of services each hour, providing those looking to travel to Celtic Park with more opportunities to reach the closest stations – this is key when big crowds start turning up again.

Transport links are just one of the issues supporters care about with regards to improving the matchday experience and 67 Hail Hail’s very own Hamish Carton discussed some of the current problems over on YouTube this evening.
Thankfully, the current Scotrail disruption looks to have eased for the moment, at least beyond tomorrow’s fixture at home to Blackburn Rovers.
