A recent revelation by Celtic captain Scott Brown will shock fans still reeling from Brendan Rodgers’ exit from Celtic Park.
The Hoops skipper has disclosed that Rodgers still regularly keeps in contact with him.
“He’s always texting me before games, he’s always texting after games. He’s still taking a real interest in Celtic” Brown said, as reported by the Daily Record.
“He loves the club”

“He loves the club inside and out and a lot of the lads are still speaking to him. He takes time to speak to us still.”
That revelation will be hard for Celtic fans to take, especially following the circumstances of Rodgers’ departure.

He left the Hoops only 24 hours before a massive clash against Hearts to take over at Leicester City. It will take a long time for the Celtic support to forgive that.
Players still respect Rodgers

It isn’t really a surprise that Rodgers still keeps in contact with the players, and that the players still respect him.
He was a massive success as Celtic boss. Winning every domestic trophy that he competed for is a record that will be very difficult to surpass.
He also made good players into great players. Brown is an example of that. Brown will love that Rodgers managed to get him back on track after an indifferent few years.
Will the fans’ anger over Rodgers’ departure end any time soon? Unlikely. But it is clear to see that Brown has already forgiven the former Hoops boss.
