Celtic captain Scott Brown has delivered a short and sweet Friday verdict on his side’s 2-1 Europa League win over Lazio.
The former Scotland international was in imperious form as Neil Lennon’s men came from behind to down the Italians and give themselves a real chance of making the last 32 of the competition.
It was a glorious night in Paradise but one that wasn’t lost on Brown either as he posted on Instagram a day later.

The skipper earned some nice replies from former teammates like Mikael Lustig and Robbie Keane. The Swede mocked Brown’s photo taking ability by replying “Haha great photos Mr Insta” while Keane simply posted three clapping emojis.
The fact that Keane is a former teammate of Brown just highlights how long the midfielder has been in pole position at Celtic Park. Brown has enjoyed many glory European nights on the Parkhead pitch but you wonder how highly Thursday’s win ranks with him.
Yes, it was the Europa League, but only really in name. Everything about the result and performance had more of a Champions League feel to it.
Now, as Brown says, Celtic must “keep on going” – to Aberdeen on Sunday where three more points are up for grabs.
