Celtic skipper Scott Brown has heaped praise on the attacking duo of Leigh Griffiths and Odsonne Edouard, the Hoops Twitter account reports.
The pair have been in excellent form for the club since the winter break. They have helped the Hoops build-up an impressive 13 point lead at the top of the Premiership.
Brown has been impressed with how well the duo have worked together.
“They’ve looked good”
“They’ve looked good together and been a joy to watch. To get Griff back puts a smile on his face and a lot of lads’ faces, it’s good for Scotland too” Brown said, as quoted by the Celtic Twitter account.
🎙 @ScottBrown8: “@Leighgriff09’ back scoring goals, a great hat-trick at the weekend and he’s linking up well with @Oedouard22. They’ve looked good together and been a joy to watch. To get Griff back puts a smile on his face and a lot of lads’ faces, it’s good for Scotland too.”

Brown’s comments about Griffiths are interesting, as they seem to show just how popular a player he is. The fact that he has put smiles on ‘a lot of lads’ faces’ should not be overlooked.
Perhaps one reason for that is that before the winter break it looked as if Griffiths’ time at Celtic could be up. However, he has proved since the winter break that he remains one of the best strikers in Scotland.
More than earned place in starting line-up
It will be intriguing to see if he gets the nod to start against Rangers on Sunday. He has been playing so well recently that he has more than earned a place in the starting line-up.
The sight of Edouard and Griffiths combining to run rings around Rangers’ defence is something that should excite every Celtic fan. Brown has seen the pair up-close. If he is describing the duo as a ‘joy to watch’ then he must be impressed, when you consider the number of strikers he has seen play for Celtic.
