Celtic captain Scott Brown is already looking ahead to Celtic’s next match, and has put the recent Europa League victory over Cluj behind him.

Even though Celtic’s 2-0 win over Cluj was certainly a notable victory, Brown took to Instagram to disclose that his mind is already on Sunday’s match against Livingston. However, he still paid tribute to his team-mates for defeating Cluj.

“Great team performance”

“Great team performance and two great goals. We go again Sunday” the Hoops captain said.

Brown is correct not to dwell on the past. Although the win against Cluj was one of Celtic’s performances of the season, all thoughts must turn to Livingston on Sunday.

That is a game that the Hoops cannot afford to drop any points in. Following the recent 1-1 draw with Hibs, the lead at the top of the table over Rangers is down to one point. Celtic will want to keep that lead going into the international break.

Therefore, it is important to once more focus on league duty. Especially as it could be a difficult match for the Hoops. Celtic only travelled to the Tony Macaroni Stadium once last season, and were held to a 0-0 draw.

The biggest factor in the game could be the artificial pitch. That has turned out to be a leveller for many sides travelling to Livingston.

With all that in mind, Brown will be firmly focused making sure that the Hoops get back to winning ways in the Premiership. All his team-mates will have a similar mindset, heading into an important fixture.
