Neil Lennon has some advice for Celtic captain Scott Brown – and it is some advice that Brown should pay attention to.
The Hoops boss wants to see the skipper ‘detach’ himself from social media. This comes after Brown liked a Tweet critical of Lennon’s tactics following Celtic’s 4-3 loss to Cluj.
Brown said that was a mistake and apologised for his error.
Was just flicking through Twitter must of touched the button by accident.. Not my style to slag anyone off on Twitter. I am fully behind the manager and all the players are as well. If anyone should be getting a slagging or a abuse it’s all on me tonight as didn’t perform. Sorry

Lennon hopes that Brown now spends less time on social media after his mistake.
“I don’t think he’s ever been on Twitter that much. He was just looking for the reaction which is natural” Lennon said, as reported by the Daily Record.
“It can be damaging”
“It can be damaging. Maybe he can detach himself from it as well and concentrate on being the great captain that he is.”
Lennon’s comments should be listened to by the Hoops captain. In the wake of the loss to Cluj, everyone at the club must band together.
Club must regroup after defeat
There can be no hint of fall-outs and fights after what was such a poor result. Anything that helps the club regroup after the defeat to Cluj can only be a good thing. If that means no more Twitter, then so be it.
The Hoops just need to concentrate of football from now on, starting with the Betfred Cup clash against Dunfermline. A win in that game and the club can start to move on from the fall-out of the Cluj result.
