Scott Brown has been named as the lone Celtic representative in the SPFL’s team of the week. The side was announced on the SPFL Twitter account.
Brown was given the accolade after his goal sealed the Hoops’ 2-0 win over Hibernian in the Scottish Cup quarter-final.

Leadership skills to the fore

His thrashing drive into the top corner was his third goal in as many weeks for the Hoops. His leadership skills have come to the fore in the last week. As the Hoops have had to deal with the departure of Brendan Rodgers to Leicester City.
When looking at the team of the week overall, it is a bit of a surprise that James Forrest has not been included in the 11.
A thing of beauty

His opening goal against Hibernian was a thing of beauty. It was a moment of magic the game needed, as both teams struggled to create chances.
The goal deserved to be honoured, but the people who choose the team of the week disagree, Forrest will have other chances to make the team before the end of the season though.
The next opportunity will be on Saturday. Celtic will look to keep their eight point lead at the top of the top of the table against Aberdeen.
If Brown manages to find the back of the net again, he could well find himself named in the team of the week once more.
