Celtic captain Scott Brown has paid a massive tribute to interim Hoops boss Neil Lennon ahead of the Scottish Cup Final.
He feels that the players owe the stand-in manager a victory at Hampden Park, following Lennon’s return to the club.
Lennon took over from Brendan Rodgers, and Brown thinks he was very ‘brave’ to do that.
“Not many people would have come in after Brendan, who had won seven trophies in a row. I don’t think a lot would have said ‘yes’ right away” Brown said, as reported by the Herald.

“We owe him a lot”
“But Lenny was brave and answered that call. We owe him a lot.”
It is obvious for all to see that Brown is a big fan of Lennon. Lennon managed the Hoops skipper in his first spell as Hoops boss, so both men know each other very well.

Will Brown’s support be enough to get Lennon the Celtic job on a full-time basis? That is the big question.
Tenure ends after cup final
Lennon’s tenure as interim boss comes to an end after the Scottish Cup Final against Hearts. Should the Hoops win the game, he will have fulfilled his remit of winning both the league and the cup.

However, performances have at times been poor. That could be why Lennon hasn’t been named as permanent manager yet.
None of us know at the moment, perhaps even Lennon doesn’t know if he will be in charge of Celtic next season. However, here seems to be no doubt that Scott Brown would like to see Lennon named as permanent manager.
