Celtic youngster Scott Robertson has detailed how impressed he was to see how the Hoops squad responded to a recent setback in training, the Celtic View reports.
Robertson has been training with the Hoops first-team this season. He witnessed how disappointed the players were after the recent 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock.
Robertson believes that inspired the senior members of the squad to up their intensity in training, to ensure that there would be no repeat of the Kilmarnock result and performance.

“With the reserves you might lose a game and the boys would work hard in training, but the reaction you see from the first-team when they’ve dropped points is something else” Robertson said, as quoted by the Celtic View (Volume 56, Issue 4, Page. 24).
“These boys have been relentless”
“The intensity in training went up another gear. If you’ve ever watched training you wouldn’t think there was another gear there but these boys have been relentless,” he concluded.
Robertson’s comments are a prime example of why Celtic have been so successful over the last decade. There is an ongoing drive to make sure that the high standards don’t slip.

You can bet that Neil Lennon and Scott Brown will have demanded that the players up their intensity in training after such a poor performance. That won’t have been happy with a poor performance in such a big season.
Good for player to witness such intensity
What Robertson witnesses on the training ground will also be good for him and any other young players trying to break into the Celtic squad.
It shows the standard that has to be reached to get into the first-team. If Robertson can match the intensity shown by his senior team-mates in training then he could feature for the Hoops more often this season.
You don’t often find out what happens in training sessions. Therefore, credit is due to Robertson for giving an insight into how hard the Celtic squad works to put things right.
