Out of favour Celtic winger Scott Sinclair has posted a video to Instagram which shows him training at the Hoops’ empty Lennoxtown training facility.
Apparently filmed on Saturday with the rest of his teammates either given time off or on international duty, the video shows the winger lifting weights in the gym and running the pitches as he tries to work his way back into Neil Lennon’s first-team.
Sinclair hasn’t started a match for Celtic since the last league game of last season against Hearts. His last appearance came during the 5-2 win over Motherwell in August. He hasn’t been included in a match squad since.
With others, such as Lewis Morgan, getting minutes off the bench ahead of him, some have questioned what’s going on with the player.
Chris Sutton claimed in his weekly Daily Record column that the 30-year-old doesn’t have a future at the club.
Mohamed Elyounoussi has also recently been signed, ramping up competition on the left wing.
Clearly though the prolific goalscorer, who has netted 61 times since joining Celtic in 2016, is as motivated as ever to make the team.
His efforts got support from former Hoops favourites too, with Mikael Lustig and Patrick Roberts posting in reply to the video alongside current stars Leigh Griffiths and Jonny Hayes.

Whether any of his extra work will make a difference and see him included remains to be seen.
Lennon did name the player as part of his UEFA Europa League squad, so not all hope is lost.
On his day he can still be an excellent option and at the very least, it’s great to see the player motivated and eager to prove himself.
