As we pick over the bones of yesterday’s draw against Motherwell and prepare for the Scottish Cup semi-final against Rangers, transfer news is probably furthest from the Celtic fan’s minds.

However, it does seem that the club may have missed out on 17-year-old Sean Moore as reports are suggesting that he could be heading the English Premier League.

The Belfast Telegraph has claimed that West Ham are putting the finishing touches to a £500k deal that will see the Cliftonville winger make the move to London in the summer.

67 Hail Hail reported back in February that Celtic were linked with the youngster along with The Hammers and Newcastle United.

Moore has been a regular in Cliftonville’s team this season and has made 34 appearances for the club, scoring six goals.

His form helped his team reach the top of the league earlier in the season, but a drop-off in results see Cliftonville currently sitting fifth in the table.

The talented attacker picked up Northern Ireland’s Young Player of the Year Award at an award ceremony last night.

Such is his talent, Moore is also being heavily courted by both the Irish and Northern Irish FA as they look to tempt him to represent their respective countries on the main international stage.

Moore has been capped at u19 level by the Republic of Ireland but Northern Ireland boss Michael O’Neill has not yet given up hope on convincing Moore to opt for Northern Ireland.

Interest in Moore from Celtic would clearly have been with a view to continuing his development in the B Team so this news won’t directly affect Ange Postecoglou’s planning for next season.
