Sebastian Tounekti’s latest comments say plenty about the environment Celtic have created during this title run-in.
The winger has only recently arrived, but he already understands why Celtic Park can become such an important factor in the closing weeks of a season.
Supporters are not simply watching events unfold right now. They are helping drive the intensity around the club, and Tounekti made it clear the squad can feel it.

Sebastian Tounekti has felt the Celtic Park difference
Tounekti admitted things feel completely different compared to his previous experiences with Bodo/Glimt. The Celtic winger said: “Here it is so different from that time in Bodo. This race is unbelievable. It’s so exciting for everyone.”
That is the kind of comment supporters will appreciate because it comes from somebody experiencing the pressure and atmosphere first-hand. Celtic demand intensity every week, especially when trophies are on the line.
Tounekti also highlighted how much the environment around Parkhead has changed in recent matches. The winger said: “In recent matches there’s been a difference in the atmosphere at Celtic Park, especially the last game there which was incredible.”
Celtic supporters can still shape the final games
The most striking part of Tounekti’s comments was the way he described supporters greeting the squad before kick-off. Those scenes clearly made an impression on him.
The Celtic winger said: “When we arrived, with the bus, the fans were outside the ground singing and cheering for us. Inside the stadium was quite special too. The fans are going to be so big for us in these last few games.
“They give us everything and the noise they make is so good.
What did you make of the pre-match scenes before the Falkirk game?
“As players and as a team it’s so important to have that support behind us.
“They will give us the extra push into these last games, that is for sure.”
Celtic Park can become overwhelming for opposition teams when the energy inside the ground builds properly. Tounekti’s comments suggest the current squad are feeding off that support rather than feeling burdened by it.
