New Celtic recruit Shane Duffy was the late hero for the Republic of Ireland, just a day after his move to the Hoops was confirmed.
Stephen Kenny’s side were well off it for the majority of a turgid match against Bulgaria, and could have had no complaints had they lost to Bozhidar Kraev’s second-half strike.
But Duffy, captaining the side in Sofia, headed in a 93rd minute goal to grab a point in the UEFA Nations League opener.

Celtic move will have given Duffy a boost
The way Duffy attacked the corner was great to see – and those few seconds will have many Celtic fans excited.
Of course, his main job will be to prevent goals for the opposition. But Duffy’s aerial ability should see him net a fair few himself.
Christopher Jullien has nine goals for the club already, with big strikes against Rangers and Lazio headlining the bill.
If Duffy has a similar impact this season then many supporters will see him as some kind of a god.
