Aberdeen right-back Shay Logan could return in time to face Celtic on Saturday, giving the Dons an injury boost.
Derek McInnes confirmed to the Aberdeen Evening Express that Logan is working hard to make the squad for Saturday.
Celtic and the Dons full-back aren’t exactly on great terms with each other. Logan has shown a severe lack of class in certain instances against the Scottish champions. The most recent came at the end of last season, when Logan was sent off at Parkhead for goading the Celtic players and support.

He has been out of action for the Dons for the first time since mid-February. But, despite that, McInnes told the Aberdeen Evening Express that he has a chance of returning this weekend.
“All being well Shaleum should be involved in the game against Celtic, which is a boost. He was back training last week and has done some bits of work.
“Rangers came too quick for him but he will hopefully get a full week’s training this week.
“He has worked extremely hard so hopefully Shaleum gets his reward for that. Having him back would help us.”
Still plenty for Aberdeen to be concerned about
The return of Logan for Aberdeen would be a big boost to them. It could allow Dominic Ball to slot into midfield and help out Lewis Ferguson. This would allow the Dons to avoid playing an inexperienced central midfield against the Hoops on Saturday.

But McInnes’ men are still without a natural winger for the weekend too. Gary Mackay-Steven, Niall McGinn, and Connor McLennan are all going to miss out. Graeme Shinnie is also out injured, confirmed by McInnes.
Andrew Considine is suspended after the red card he picked up against Rangers. Tommie Hoban is also sidelined as the Dons suffer a host of selection issues.

Celtic have plenty of injury problems ahead of Saturday as we all know. But we should have more than enough to overpower a heavily weakened Aberdeen side.
There’s clearly still a chance that Logan could miss out too, but given his history with regards to results against us, it’s hardly a blow if he’s fit.
