Celtic’s win over Motherwell showed a different side to this team that the supporters have not seen in quite a long time.
Battling qualities, heart and probably most importantly, creativity in the second half helped Brendan Rodgers‘ side comeback from 1-0 down to win 3-1 with goals from Adam Idah and Luis Palma.
But it was the performance of a Motherwell player that really caught the eye of former Celtic favourite Charlie Mulgrew.
The former Celtic defender was on punditry duty on Sky Sports yesterday when he was waxing lyrical about young Lennon Miller.
Charlie Mulgrew tells Celtic they must sign Lennon Miller
The young 17-year-old Motherwell midfielder played a crucial role in the opening goal with a lovely turn to leave Callum McGregor in no man’s land and after seeing that, Mulgrew urged Celtic to get him signed up.
Mulgrew said [Sky Sports], “You see the effect he has on the game today. He’s like a man the way he plays.
“He is so clever. We see him asking for the keeper to take the goal kick up and flick it on like his dad used to do.
“What a player. Level-headed boy. Comes from a good family as well.
“If I was Celtic or Rangers I would sign him now and have him in the team. What a player he is.”
Co-pundit, James McFadden was having none of that chat has he jokingly replied, “Hey, hey! Let him grow!”

There is no doubt that Miller is a quality player. And at such a young age he shows a lot of maturity. Mulgrew is correct.
He would be a great addition to the team and if Celtic did sing him he would need to be immediately loaned out because, with the best will in the world, the youngster is not getting in ahead of our top three midfielders.
