Celtic winger Scott Sinclair reckons it could take years for the Hoops’ recent achievements to be fully appreciated.

The Englishman knows nothing other than Celtic winning trophies. The Hoops have won eight out of eight since he joined from Aston Villa in 2016.

This weekend they go for number nine and a historic treble treble. Ahead of the game, Sinclair has been talking to the official Celtic website about the match and its possible implications.

“With the game this weekend, it’s just about that one last push”, he said. “It’s going to be a tough game, but I’m sure it’ll be a great game.

“I don’t think it’ll settle in with any of the players until years to come.

“First of all, we’ve still to get the job done. For us, going into this last game, there’s a lot of pressure on us, but hopefully we’ll be lifting the trophy.”

An unrivalled domestic achievement

We really are blessed to be Celtic supporters in this period of utter domination. Recently, we’ve seen our team batter our rivals by at least four goals on four separate occasions, move closer to ten-in-a-row and even go an entire domestic season without losing a match.

This Saturday, Celtic can make yet more history by winning a remarkable third treble on the spin. To put that achievement in context, Celtic only won three trebles in their first 129 years. To double that tally in just three seasons would be totally amazing.

One day the winning will stop and our memories will flood back to the period we’re currently enjoying. We better just savour every moment while it’s here.
