Sky Sports to air special programme on Celtic’s Scottish Premiership title victory

Celtic and Brendan Rodgers are now enjoying a well-deserved break after securing the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup this season.

Despite the campaign only ending last week, supporters will already be missing their heroes in action. Club football is on the backburner for now amid international tournaments taking centre stage this summer.

Nevertheless, there is plenty in the way of transfer rumours to keep those of a Celtic-centric nature entertained; however, life isn’t the same when there isn’t a match to look forward to at the weekend.

Reliving the glories of recent conquests can be a good way to pass the time, especially given the hard-fought nature of the Hoops’ title victory after overcoming some precarious moments throughout the year.

Tomorrow evening, fans will be able to do exactly that, as details of a special broadcast dedicated to the Scottish Premiership champions have emerged.

Sky Sports to air ‘Celtic: Champions Again’ on Friday evening

For those stuck for plans on Friday evening, fear not. Sky Sports is airing a broadcast called ‘Celtic: Champions Again’, which is, as you guessed, dedicated to the Hoops’ latest title triumph.

Snippets from interviews with Rodgers and club captain Callum McGregor have partially entered the public domain, though fans can catch full coverage live on Sky Sports Football from 7 p.m.

While the return of Celtic feels some way away, the chance to unwind and hear how both men helped the Bhoys achieve success will be some light relief from the end-of-season lull that has set in.

It should be noted that the broadcaster doesn’t hold the rights to show live Scottish Cup action, so it remains to be seen whether anything on that will be included in the script.

Either way, Celtic supporters can kick back and appreciate another successful season in the club’s history. Enjoy it; it is fair to say everyone has played their part.
