Celtic tonight extended their lead at the top of the Premiership to 10 points, and our supporters are most certainly loving it.
The Hoops ran riot against the Jambos with a sensational 5-0 routing of Daniel Stendel’s men at Parkhead. However, another big story was happening in Ayrshire, as Killie managed to secure a fine 2-1 win against Rangers.

That was enough to extend our advantage at the top to 10 points with only 11 games still to play. It was a superb night, with Celtic in fine form whilst our title rivals faltered once again when the question was asked of them.
And Celtic fans have been quick to get on social media and start the partying. Here’s a look at some of that early reaction on Twitter, with big Sutton getting his own post out:

A glorious night, but cool heads must prevail
Stunning stuff. Just when you thought our lead was brilliant enough, Rangers go and do us another fine favour with a shocking display at Rugby Park.
Celtic continue to show all the marks of a Championship-winning team. Rangers, meanwhile, can’t help but trip up when they face a tough fixture.
However, Neil Lennon will be the first to say that nothing has been won yet. Celtic are in an absolutely superb position, but with 11 games still to play, it’s imperative that cool heads come out on top here. With nine-in-a-row seriously within reach, the last thing we need is complacency creeping in.

After all, look at what that’s done for Rangers. You would’ve thought that they had already won the league after beating us at Celtic Park in December. Turns out that it was all just hype as per usual.
We know this Celtic side has what it takes to get over the line. Tonight has once again stressed the difference between the two Glasgow sides.
It’s yet another night of celebration for the in-form Hoops, and supporters are quite right to let our rivals know about it.
