Celtic fans have been reacting furiously to Boli Bolingoli’s quarantine breach over the last 12 hours.
The Scottish Sun revealed late last night that the Belgian defender had taken a secret trip to Spain before failing to quarantine on his return. He even featured against Kilmarnock on Sunday just days after returning to the country.
Celtic and Boli both responded in the Sun’s story, with the club conducting an investigation and the player apologising for his mistake. Yet that hasn’t been enough to escape the wrath of the support.

It sets up what could be a nerve-racking day for Scottish football fans as we wait to see whether the game will face any repercussions from Boli’s actions.
And it’s fair to say the Celtic supporters weren’t impressed with their left-back. Reacting to the news on social media, here’s a look at what some of the Hoops faithful are saying:

A saga Bolingoli’s Celtic career didn’t need
When Bolingoli was signed from Rapid Vienna for £3million last summer (Scottish Sun), many would’ve been excited by his potential he seemed to have. Even his old sporting director at Rapid claimed he was already at the standard of a club in one of Europe’s top five leagues (Daily Record).
However, this isn’t a football issue. Many fans don’t want Bolingoli to be released because he’s struggled to make much of an impression over the last 12 months. This is to do with a total disregard for health and safety.

You can’t deny that Boli’s Celtic career was already disappointing many of us who expected so much when he came in the door last year. This ridiculous act from him only goes to anger supporters further.
We all await the verdict from the Scottish Government on this today. As it stands Boli has let everyone at Celtic Park down, and any road back to stardom in Glasgow for the left-back looks a long way away.
In other news, a report from Turkey has claimed that Trabzonspor are interested in Celtic target Albian Ajeti.
