Some Celtic fans have jokingly called upon the club to accept a UEFA fine in order to release the ‘unique angle’ goal footage from Thursday’s dramatic win over Lazio.
The single camera shot has become one of the staples of any big Celtic game in recent years, with fans flocking to social media to see a new angle not covered by usual match broadcasters.

It was no surprise then that the club was inundated with requests following Christopher Jullien’s last gasp winner against the Italians. So much so that they had to put out a tweet explaining the situation.
But with UEFA rules once again coming in the way of Celtic fans’ enjoyment, some felt the club should just release the footage and accept the repercussions.

The ‘unique angle’ footage from Celtic Park will be special
The ball in from Christie, Jullien rising higher than everyone else, then the net rippling and the subsequent bedlam – the footage really is going to be something special.
Hopefully it also captured Fraser Forster’s amazing late save and everyone’s astonishment around the stadium.

These are moments that will live long in the memory for Celtic supporters around the globe. In the past we had to hope that a fan had managed to capture the moment on an iPhone or similar. Now we know that the club will have been there to gather the footage from right at the side of the pitch.
As one fan put it: “I am expecting Celtic Twitter to be absolutely sensational on Sunday night.”
