It’s a year to the day since our prodigal son Neil Lennon returned back to Celtic – and some Hoops fans have been basking in the glory by recounting some of their favourite memories of the past 12 months.
And boy has there been a few of them. From winning the league at Pittodrie, to cup final wins over Hearts and Rangers, and the Europa League double over Lazio.
Expect a number of them to feature as we take a trip down memory lane, with the help of some Celtic fans on Twitter.
Lennon has created some amazing Celtic memories
It really is pretty remarkable to consider that all of the above memories have occurred in the past 12 months.
It’s never dull with Neil Lennon, and the past year has shown that in spades.
Olivier Ntcham’s last gasp winner against Lazio, to secure our first ever win on Italian soil, is unsurprisingly the most mentioned among the support.
The drama of that night, and how good a team the Italians were, help to amplify it above anything else we’ve achieved on the European stage since beating Barcelona.
But domestic success means so much too. Many worried that Lennon would be unable to continue Brendan Rodgers’ relentless trophy run. But he has.
The Scottish Cup final win over Hearts probably stands head and shoulders above the rest for euphoria. Although beating Rangers in December was also pretty emotional.
Who knows where we’ll be in a years time, eh? Perhaps we’ll even have a few memories that can top our current lot.
