Former Celtic striker Moussa Dembele took to social media on Saturday to share his memory of a hilarious Glasgow derby moment.
The French attacker, who is now a Lyon, commented on a Celtic website article about the occasion Mikael Lustig wore a policeman’s hat after the Hoops scored in the 5-0 title clinching derby win in 2018.
Dembele suggested that the hat Lustig wore should be placed in Celtic’s trophy cabinet next to the Premiership trophy.
“We should frame that hat”
“That’s a Glasgow derby classic ! One of the best celebrations I’ve seen. We should frame that hat or put it in the club’s cabinet next to the League we won that day” Dembele said.
It is good to see that Dembele still values his time at Celtic fondly, and so he should. Playing for the Hoops in some big games led to the player making his move to Lyon.

The player was good for Celtic, and Celtic were good for the player. Judging by his comments, he has nothing but happy memories of his time at the club, and beating Rangers was a part of that, as Demeble was of course part of Celtic’s invincible side of 2016-17.
Unsurprisingly, Demeble’s remarks went down a storm with some Celtic fans on social media, who thought they were fantastic.
Suggestion that stand should be named after player
One fan called Dembele a ‘legend’. Another fan, not being entirely serious, suggested that Celtic name the main stand after the player.

What can be seen from the comments though is that fans still greatly respect and admire Dembele for what he achieved in his time at the club.
