Who would have thought that the images of Steven Gerrard striding on the Celtic Park turf, celebrating a Rangers win, would have become so funny, so quickly.
But after an eight point swing in six weeks, that is exactly the situation the Hoops faithful find themselves in.
Neil Lennon’s men are champions in waiting again after extending their lead at the top of the Premiership to a whopping ten points.
We’ve won all six of our league matches since the break, while Rangers have faltered in three – giving us an almighty advantage in the hunt for another championship.
And, given the way Gerrard celebrated at our home on December 29th, it seems only fitting that he and his side have been brought back down to earth so quickly.
And some Celtic fans were keen to point out the change in fortunes, as they took to Twitter following the Ibrox side’s latest setback.

Celtic will continue to celebrate trophy wins, unlike Gerrard
In theory, there is nothing wrong with the way the former Liverpool man celebrated his side’s win in Glasgow.
If anything, it highlights the scale of the achievement to beat a team of our standard on our own patch. Gerrard knows that as much as we all do.
Neil Lennon celebrated in similar fashion when we won at Ibrox back in September.
The difference there is that we didn’t get too above our station or think things were going to be easy from there on.
Bar a few results, we kept winning. That’s something that Rangers haven’t been able to do in recent weeks.
Gerrard and co can continue to celebrate derby results as if they’re trophy wins, if they want.
We’ll stick to celebrating actual meaningful successes.
