Celtic might have missed the chance to go 10 points clear at the top of the league after drawing 0-0 with Aberdeen. The Hoops failed to get going in the game and failed to turn up on Neil Lennon’s homecoming as Hoops boss.
One player did stand out though – and that was centre-back Kristoffer Ajer. He was the stand-out performer for the Hoops on a day when few players turned up.
Ajer was one of the Hoops’ better attacking performers in the game.

He came close in the first-half with a shot that was saved by Joe Lewis, then had a headed goal disallowed for offside.
Dealt with Aberdeen threat well
The centre-back also dealt with the threat of Aberdeen striker Sam Cosgrove, who had a quiet game. The users of Twitter were also impressed with Ajer’s performance. Here are some of the best reactions to his performance:

A key man going forward

Ajer looks set to be a key man for the Hoops in the weeks going forward. With Filip Benkovic still out, he and Dedryck Boyata have formed a solid defensive partnership.
Those two were certainly not to blame for Celtic dropping points, they did their bit for the side.
Overall, fans will be disappointed with the Hoops performance today, but one man they will not be disappointed with is Ajer. He deserves to keep his place in the team even when Benkovic returns from injury.
