Celtic announced on Twitter early on Friday that the club had brought Ewan Henderson’s loan deal at Ross County to an early end, and he will be returning to Scottish Champions.

The attacking midfielder joined the Dingwall club at the start of the season. However, he has not been a regular for the Premiership team, making only 10 appearances in the first-half of the season.

Some Celtic fans on social media have given their reaction to the news that the starlet, who is 19, is returning to the club.

One fan proclaimed it was ‘good to see’. Another fan claimed that the player had been ‘wasted’ at Ross County,

Here are some of the best reactions from social media to Henderson’s return:

Celtic of course play Ross County in the league on Saturday, which is why some comments made call for Henderson to start ‘tomorrow’.

That isn’t likely to happen. However, it is interesting to see what will happen to the player in the second-half of the season, which has only just begun.

That will be for Neil Lennon and the player to decide.

Has featured for the Hoops first-team

It is unfortunate that the move to Ross County didn’t work out. He is a talented player, who has featured for the Hoops first-team. Last season he made five first-team apperances for the Hoops, contributing two assists.

Hopefully he doesn’t let this setback derail his career. Thankfully he is young enough to overcome the disappointment of rarely featuring for Ross County.

He also has the likes of Neil Lennon and John Kennedy at the club who he can talk to about his future. Henderson’s future should still be bright, and hopefully he gets some game time in the second-half of the season.
