Celtic fans seem pretty chuffed for Leigh Griffiths if social media is anything to go by. The Bhoys forward made his first appearance in over six months in Wednesday’s friendly victory over SC Pinkafeld.

Griffiths started the match in the sweltering Austrian heat and even bagged himself a neat tap-in following some good work from Calvin Miller.
The Hoops forward had missed each of Celtic’s previous 31 matches prior to the friendly so it was great to see him back on the scoresheet. Some Celtic fans were so pleased for the 28-year-old that they took to Twitter to praise him.

The prospect of a fully-firing Griffiths and Odsonne Edouard vying for a starting spot is a tantalizing one. Ivorian forward Vakoun Issouf Bayo could also have something to add to the team if he is given a chance.
However, most fans were focussing on just one man.

Silencing the haters
One Celtic fan has a long memory, and is pleased to see Griffiths silencing some critics from the other side of the city. The Hoops forward will no doubt get a chance to do some damage against our rivals later on in the season.
