The Celtic support have reacted favourably to the news that first-team hero James Forrest will have a biography released about him by the end of the year.

‘Homegrown Hero’ will look back at Forrest’s career at Celtic so far – from the age of nine up until the current day. The book will feature interviews with the likes of Scott Brown, Tom Rogic and Brendan Rodgers while Neil Lennon will write the foreword.

A portion of the proceeds will also go to the Celtic Foundation at the request of the winger.

The club announced the book on Friday morning and the Celtic Twitter world soon burst into a fit of James Forrest congratulation. Here are some of the finest replies.

Forrest book is likely to be a hit with Celtic fans

‘Homegrown Hero’ will probably sell pretty well with the Celtic supporting public. The majority will buy and read it to find out more about Celtic’s quiet man, on a personal level.

Forrest rarely does press conferences. He’s not on any form of social media and is rarely pictured out and about. He lives a pretty quiet and humble life. And fans will really want to read what he’s really like.

His Celtic story is an enthralling one. From youth team player, to unfancied first-team player, to one of the most important men at the club – he really has travelled through the different roles.

But at the age of 28, you still get the impression that he has a few more chapters to write in his Celtic career yet. The Hoops support will certainly hope that’s the case.
