Celtic seem to be in the process of building their team for nine in a row and beyond. The latest example of this is that the club have announced that Scott Bain has signed a new contract with the club.
That is on the footsteps of James Forrest committing his future to the club recently, when he signed a new long-term contract.
The new deal for Bain may come as a slight surprise, as he hasn’t played for the Hoops since August after suffering a thumb injury. Fraser Forster has taken his place as the number one goalkeeper.
Hoops boss must see player as key man
However, Neil Lennon and the rest of the staff at Celtic must see Bain as a player who can play a role for the Hoops going forward.

One felt that although it is ‘good news’ that he has signed a long-term deal, the Hoops should also look to keep Fraser Forster at the club. Another hoped that Ryan Christie will be the next player to sign a new deal.

It will be interesting to see when Bain gets another chance in the Celtic first-team. It might not be until next season. However, the player will be pleased that he looks to be an integral part of Celtic’s plans going forward.
