Some Celtic fans react as Scott Brown is declared fit for Copenhagen
Some Celtic fans have been reacting to the news that Scott Brown will be fit for Celtic’s Europa League last-32 second leg against Copenhagen tomorrow.
Brown had to come off in Denmark during last week’s 1-1 draw in the first leg. He then proceeded to miss the weekend’s 3-1 home success against Kilmarnock in the Premiership too. The knock picked up in Copenhagen seemed to be a concerning one.
🗣️ NL: "James and Scott are both fit. Oli isn't fit and will be out for another week. Having Scott and his experience is a confidence boost, and we know that Jamesy is a big game player." #CELCOP #UEL

However, all of that was today put to bed by Neil Lennon. Brown took part in first-team training today as Lennon declared his key-man and on-field leader fit for the visit of Stale Solbakken’s side.
It’s fair to say that some were certainly given a boost by the news. Here’s a look at some of the reaction to the development:
Great news we have our captain back in this 2nd leg europa tie ,and also wee james Forrest. Feeling confident now.

If he’s fit he must play ,we did his presence, it will boost the team ,and I hope Rogic is playing instead of Ncham.

A massive return – should go straight into the starting line-up
This is massive for Celtic. Yes, we did have the likes of Nir Bitton to potentially step in if necessary, but having our captain available is crucial for a match of this magnitude.
There is absolutely no debate about whether he should make the starting line-up either. If he’s fit then he plays, it’s as simple as that. Neil Lennon has also proven in the past that he’ll play Brown in any big game. Our captain has started every single European game this season and has featured, overall, 46 times for us (Transfermarkt).
James Forrest also being fit is another positive for us. With the lack of a rival right-winger in the squad, and Ryan Christie suspended, you would do well to find someone who could do Forrest’s job anywhere near as efficiently.
Remember, Forrest came close to scoring in Copenhagen in the second 45, and played well on the night overall. He’ll fancy stepping things up at Parkhead tomorrow night.
So supporters are right to be buoyed by our latest injury news. It puts us in almost as strong a position as we could’ve hoped for.
