Celtic’s Scott Sinclair has left the club after what was for the most part a very successful three-and-a-half year spell in Glasgow.
The winger has joined Championship side Preston North End. Unsurprisingly, for a player who played such a key role in winning the ‘treble treble’, Celtic’s Twitter account paid tribute to Sinclair, thanking him for his time at the club, and wishing him the best of luck at Preston.
Some Celtic fans on social media also discussed Sinclair’s departure. One fan claimed that the player was ‘a joy to behold’ during his first season with the Hoops. Another hoped that the winger will return to the club when Celtic win 10 in a row.
“A joy to behold”

Here are some of the best reactions from social media as Scott Sinclair leaves Celtic:

The time was right for Sinclair to move on from Celtic. Even though he had scored plenty of goals in his time at the club, he had lost his place in the first-team and didn’t look like getting back in the starting line-up anytime soon.
The move makes sense for the player and the club

Therefore, the move makes sense for both the player and the club. It is still a notable exit though. Sinclair was one of Celtic’s most important players during the recent success that the club has enjoyed.
He was an integral part of the team under Brendan Rodgers. However, things change, and he didn’t feature as often under Neil Lennon.
However, Sinclair deserves the thanks and best wishes he has received from the Hoops support. At times, he was an excellent player for the club.
Celtic will find it difficult to replace a winger who had such an excellent goal record. Neil Lennon and his staff will no doubt be working on that, but Sinclair will not be an easy act to follow.
Hopefully the player goes on to have an excellent career at Preston, and who knows, maybe he will be back at Celtic when the club wins 10 in a row.
