Celtic fans seem pretty chuffed with the club’s first signing of the summer. Neil Lennon’s men have completed the acquisition of Toulouse centre-back Christopher Jullien in a reported £7million deal.
The 6ft 5in centre-back has signed a four-year deal with the club and will join the squad out in Austria in the coming days. He becomes Lennon’s first signing of his second spell as Hoops boss, after a move for Motherwell man David Turnbull hit the buffers.

Jullien has good pedigree, having played over 100 matches for Ligue 1 side Toulouse over the past three seasons. He’s also featured for Auxerre and Freiburg in a varied career to date.
The former French youth international may be excited about pulling on the Hoops for the first time. However, he’s unlikely to be as pleased as some of the Celtic fans. Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter.

Celtic signed Bobo Balde from the French club in 2001 and he went on to have a pretty good career in Glasgow. Jullien is the same height as the Guinea defender but perhaps not quite as wide. Time will tell if he can have a similar impact.

Celtic fans are feeling confident
Some Celtic fans aren’t getting too ahead of themselves. Others are already convinced that we’re going to make next summer’s Champions League final in Turkey.
