The Celtic support seem pretty chuffed that homegrown hero James Forrest has signed a new contract at the club, if social media is any barometer of mood.
News of the Scotland winger’s four-year extension reached us on Wednesday afternoon after murmurings that an announcement was in the pipeline.

Many Celtic fans want Forrest to get a testimonial
There seems to be a growing theme emerging among the support that the winger should be given a testimonial. Forrest is closing in on ten years for the club – the time at which the honour is usually awarded.
Scott Brown earned his day in the sun not so long ago and it’s hard to argue against Forrest deserving similar.
Whether the 28-year-old would graciously accept such an honour is unknown. He recently spoke about being unsure about doing a book on his Celtic story so a full afternoon celebrating his time in the Hoops may be pushing it.
