Celtic hero Scott Sinclair has said goodbye to the supporters who adored him for over three years. The Englishman has joined Preston North End on a two-and-a-half year deal.

The winger leaves Glasgow a treble treble hero, a top goal scorer and an invincible. So much so that it’s left a profound effect on the man who fans deemed ‘fast as lightning’.

The ex-Aston Villa star came up to kick start his career and he did so, and then some. However, his last year or so produced weaker performances and little game time which led to his departure.

Nevertheless, the winger will always remember the Hoops as goes on to pastures new.

He posted on Twitter: “Thank you Celtic, the staff and players we have created history and made amazing memories I will never forget.

“From the invincible treble, treble treble and on a personal note being top scorer in the time we did it and becoming Scotland’s player of the year.

“But most importantly, thank you all the fans for the love and support you have shown me over the last three and a half years I’ve been here.

“It has been inspirational, an honour and pleasure to wear the shirt, you will be missed.”
