Some Celtic fans react to Scott Sinclair video

Perhaps the biggest news of the day for Celtic fans was the posting of the Scott Sinclair video at Lennoxtown.

Sinky posted a training video on Instagram earlier on today. In the video, it shows the Englishman arriving at an isolated looking training centre and doing the hard yards. There was footage of the entrance, the gym, and the outside training surfaces.

If you haven’t seen the video, you can watch it by clicking here. It’s certainly gathered plenty of attention on social media, and has most likely been taken further than Sinclair intended it to.

Many supporters have reacted on Twitter claiming that Sinclair isn’t being treated fairly. The odd voices have also posed the question of what the video was trying to achieve. Here’s a quick look at some of the reaction from the Hoops support:

Questions don’t need to be asked here

Sinclair has only played in four of Celtic’s 13 matches so far this season. But his lack of game-time doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with the video he’s posted today.

Lennoxtown will likely be open on Sundays for any player who wishes to use the facilities. For those who aren’t away with their international teams, it’s likely just a day off. Sinclair, however, could easily have just felt it necessary to go in and put in some solid graft. Good on him.

There’s no need to look at some sort of perceived negatives surrounding it. He’s clearly a hard-worker, and just because the images he posted showed an empty Lennoxtown, it hardly means he strutted around on his own without any company. Players could’ve been in and out throughout the day.

To sum up, fair play to Sinclair for going in on what looks like a day off and training hard. It’s a good lesson for others in the squad as well as the youth players.

Even though Sinclair’s out the team, he’s clearly keeping focused and looking to remain at peak physical condition. He’ll certainly need to be at that level when he’s given another chance to impress.

But there’s no point stirring a pot that doesn’t need stirring. There’s not much to suggest Sinclair is being treated badly here. All it shows is that he’s willing to stay as fit as possible, and took the opportunity to stay that way earlier on today.
