Some Celtic fans react to Steven Gerrard comments

Some Celtic fans have been basking in the glory of more dropped points across the city, and more daft comments from Steven Gerrard.

The former Liverpool captain now trails Neil Lennon’s Hoops by a whopping 13 points and it looks increasingly likely that he’s not up to the task of halting our domestic success.

Unlike Lennon, he continually makes daft comments in the press, and he was at it again last night as he gave his post-match reaction to the club’s official YouTube channel.

Gerrard is quoted as saying: “There was an opportunity, Celtic have blinked with one eye and we have blinked with two. Which is extremely disappointing.”

Now stop your laughing up the back there, and have a read at what these Hoops fans made of the comments.

Celtic fans mock 8th minute Gerrard applause

Of course, it didn’t start out so negatively for Gerrard last night.

The evening began with an 8th minute applause from most of Ibrox, in support of their under fire gaffer.

The real irony is that not many people would have been clapping the Englishman off at full-time. Quite the opposite actually.

It could get even better in ten days time

This year just seems to get better with every passing week – domestically at least.

It seems totally bizarre to consider our title was firmly in question around seven weeks or so ago.

Since then we’ve won every domestic game, bar last night, while they’ve dropped point after point.

They are in complete utter turmoil and the thought of us romping to another treble must keep them up at night.

Oh, and remember we play them in just ten days time. What a chance to keep them in their place.
