Some Celtic fans react to ticket office changes

Celtic have announced reduced opening hours for the club’s ticket office starting next week.

The location at the stadium will now only be open for three hours on non match days. When the Hoops are on it’ll be slightly longer but it isn’t going down well with some supporters.

With season tickets at record highs and cup games coming thick and fast, the news is certainly controversial.

Celtic ticket office new opening hours

Commencing on November 19th, the Celtic ticket office will be changing its opening hours.

The official club website states:

Monday-Friday: 11am – 2pm

Midweek matchday: 11am – Kick-off

Saturday matchday: 10.30am – Kick-off

Sunday matchday: 10.30am – Kick-off

This is a major change to the opening hours that fans are familiar with in the present day. Currently, fans can go to the stadium ticket office between the hours of 9am until 5pm on weekdays. On weekends and bank holidays, the hours are shorter from 10am until 4pm.

Celtic didn’t give a reason for the reduced opening hours and the move seems a bizarre one. Season tickets are sold out and there are big cup matches to come where office will be packed out.

Some fans of the club are outraged by the decision and are being vocal about it on social media.

The Hoops faithful have taken to Twitter to voice their dismay on the new proposals by Celtic.

Going on current reactions, the decision isn’t going down as a popular one.

With a difficult to understand online ticketing system, the sales could potentially take a hit. Perhaps the new changes will only be around temporarily if more people voice their disagreement.
